2023 Labor Day Bash Slow-Pitch Softball Classic
UPDATE:
Attention all, the Village of Milford Center is urgently seeking Co-Ed softball teams to sign up for our 2023 Labor Day Bash Slow-Pitch Softball Classic! This is a softball tournament that will take place at the 2023 Labor Day Bash in Milford Center, Ohio on September 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The tournament winner will earn a $1,000.00 donation for the school district they are representing. We are looking for teams to be constructed of alumni, but all school affiliates are welcome to participate.
Teams will play a minimum of four games each and there will be seeding from pool play and a double elimination tournament played Saturday and Sunday (9/2 and 9/3). Teams will have the opportunity to play games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There can only be a single team representing a school district, first come, first serve basis.
The games will be played in a Texas Shootout Style: each batter starts with a full count of 2 strikes and 3 balls. Each game will be 7 innings and a run-rule will be imposed if the lead is 10 or more after 5 innings. In the event of a tie at the end of regulation innings, the game will proceed with additional innings until there is a winner. During extra innings, you start with a runner on 1st. In the second extra inning, there will be a runner on 1st and 2nd. From the third extra inning on, the bases will be loaded. Teams must have at least ten players(co-ed) and can have a maximum of fifteen players. If there are not enough players representing your team, you will be disqualified and the opposing team will win that game.
